Carson Palmer: Joining Oakland Raiders Cost Him Significantly

Carson Palmer joining the Oakland Raiders in week 7 of the NFL has cost him significantly. As AOL reports, Palmer was to make $11.5 million this season and with 11 games left, the rate goes from $7.44 million to $2.5 million.

Palmer will be making a lot more by the time he gets to the year 2014. Next year he’s expected to make $12.5 million, $13 million in 2013, and $15 million in 2014. Being traded from the Bengals to the Raiders was worth the cut in pay, obviously.

The Oakland Raiders acquired Carson Palmer in the first-round pick for 2012 and likely a second-round in 2013.

On Sunday Palmer is expected to start the game when his team plays against the Kansas City Chiefs.
