Aura Cacia Aromatherapy Foam Bath, Ginger/Mint, Review

Forget “Calgon take me away,” now there is Aura Cacia Aromatherapy Foam Bath.

I will admit that I had my Aura Cacia Aromatherapy Ginger Mint Foam Bath packet for quite a long time before I actually used it. I didn’t think my tiny bath tub was worthy of using the packet I received as a gift. Eventually, I realized my house was not a museum and unless I used it it would pointlessly go to waste.

The perfect stressful day came around, not that enough don’t come around, where I was in desperate need for a nice aromatherapy bath. Following the instructions I poured the packet into the tub as it was filling up. The packet said add your desired amount and at first I was going to opt for half the packet but then partway through decided to use the whole packet. It instantly started to foam up the water and the powder dissolved without a problem (even with it being an older packet.) The smell in the bathroom became soothing and relaxing. The smell was just as named. It had a slight hint of ginger and a slight hint of mint. The smell was not at all strong, like perfume. It was subtle and natural, but not weak. It is after all scented with natural essential oils, not artificial fragrance.

When I slipped into the tub I could tell the Foam Bath softened my incredibly hard water. The water felt silky soft. I could still smell the ginger mint. I no longer cared that my tub wasn’t as big as I would have liked. The problems that caused the stress in my day did not disappear completely, but at least my Aura Cacia Ginger Mint Foam Bath help make it seem like they were gone forever, if only briefly.

Aura Cacia products are actually owned by Frontier Naturals so you know it is a good quality product, at least in my experience with them. This product contains none of those weird thing, like Sodium Lauryl or Laureth Sulfates or parabens, etc. Although it does have a few ingredients which are hard to pronounce. The product is also vegan and the fragrances and colors are all natural, though I didn’t necessarily notice color. The powder was white. The packet says it is safe for spas and whirlpools but it also adds that it should only be used sparingly in them, due to the foaming nature of the product.

While I was given a packet, which had 2.5 ounces in it, there are also larger containers available so you can save money. I can’t wait to try other scents of the Aura Cacia aromatherapy foam bath. Although if I go to the store and find a good price on a container of just the ginger mint I would definitely buy it. I enjoyed the ginger mint scent.
