An Easter Poem

Every year around April or March
Christians celebrate the resurrection of their Lord
They prepare feasts, go to church, & put out Easter baskets
Using only what they can afford

Children look forward to the Easter Bunny coming
As he’ll give them candy & toys
They know to behave all year long
So they’ll be seen as good girls & boys

So, in the end, do your best to be good
So the Easter Bunny will stop by your place
And, everyone will know he gave you something
Because of the smile on your face

This year, at Easter
The bunny will be going on his way
So, enjoy whatever you get in your basket
And, have a wonderful Easter Day!
