A Review of Stouffers Signature Classics Beef Pot Roast Dinner

I am a fan of many Stouffer’s brand frozen meals. I also like pot roast, so when I came across a Stouffer’s Signature Classics Beef Pot Roast Dinner in the frozen dinners section of my local grocery store, I was delighted. I decided to purchase this meal, try it out and write a product review all about my experience with it. Here is what I discovered!

One Stouffer’s Signature Classics Beef Pot Roast Dinner costs around three dollars and a bit over, depending on where you buy it at. This dish has beef, sliced carrots, celery, onions, beef broth and browned potatoes in it, among other ingredients. This meal is low in calories, packed with protein and has lots of vitamin A in it. That sounded very good to me. I could not wait to taste this dinner!

This dinner is perfect for microwave cooking and that is how I chose to prepare it. You can also cook this meal in a conventional oven. I cut a vent in the plastic cover, heated on high for three minutes, uncovered, stirred, re covered and continued cooking for two and a half more minutes. I let the tray stand in my microwave for one more minute before uncovering, stirring and serving. This meal smelled terrific and looked very good. When I tasted it, I was pleased. The browned potatoes are very flavorful and give this dinner a special flavor. The beef is tender and tasty. There is a nice amount of it in this dish. I only had two complaints about this dinner. The celery was a bit tough and I would have liked more beef gravy. The potatoes need more moisture. I rate this meal three and one half stars out of five stars. I liked trying it, but will probably not buy it again. It has more of a diced beef dish taste than actual pot roast flavor, in my opinion.

Stouffer’s Signature Classics Beef Pot Roast Dinner has only 230 calories in it. 60 of those calories come from fat. It has 7 grams of total fat, just 2 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 30 mg’s of cholesterol, 820 mg’s of sodium, 26 grams of total carbs, 3 grams of dietary fiber, 2 grams of sugars and 16 grams of protein. This meal provided me with fifty percent of my daily vitamin A need. That is spectacular! It also has nice amounts of iron, calcium and vitamin C in it. This dish is preservative free. This product does contain milk, wheat and soy ingredients.

I enjoyed writing a product review about this dinner. It is quite hearty and filling. Since it is low cal, it is fairly diet friendly. I have to admit that I do like many other Stouffer’s frozen meals better than this one, though. This dinner is distributed by Nestle USA.
