A Review of Lean Cuisine Spinach Artichoke Dip with Pita Bread

I am a fan of many Lean Cuisine brand frozen dinners, so when I saw their television ads for the new snacks line, I was intrigued. I found Lean Cuisine Spinach Artichoke Dip with Pita Bread in the frozen foods section of my local grocery store. I just had to buy it, try it out and write a product review all about my experience with it. Here is what I discovered!

I purchased Lean Cuisine Spinach Artichoke Dip with Pita Bread for a bit over three dollars. There are two servings in each box. This frozen and diet friendly snack has two individual cups of artichoke, spinach and Parmesan cheese dip, along with two individual pita bread slices. This snack is low cal and low in saturated fat, not to mention protein rich. I could not wait to taste this snack.

This snack is perfect for microwave cooking and that is how I chose to prepare it. I cut a slit in the dip cup, microwaved on high for one minute and thirty-five seconds and let stand for one minute. I then pulled the film cover off and stirred well. I placed the pita bread pack in my microwave, after cutting a slit in it and microwaved on high for thirty seconds. I let it stand for one minute before serving. I must tell you, the dip looked fabulous and so did the pita bread. When I tasted this snack, I loved it! The dip is rich, cheesy and creamy. The veggies are fresh tasting. It goes perfectly with the soft pita bread. This snack is a winner and delicious. A relative of mine tried this snack with me, and she loved it, also. Since there are two servings, it is fun to share.

I rate Lean Cuisine Spinach Artichoke Dip with Pita Bread four and one half stars out of five stars. My only problem with this product was with the dip. Do stir the dip well, it does have some sharp small pieces of artichoke. They don’t call them artichokes for nothing. Be careful. This dip is wonderful and has a gourmet flavor. The bread was perfect. One serving has 200 calories. 50 of those calories are from fat. One serving has 6 grams of total fat, 3 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 1 gram of polyunsaturated fat, 1.5 grams of monounsaturated fat, 15 mg’s of cholesterol, 460 mg’s of sodium, 290 mg’s of potassium, 29 grams of total carbs, 2 grams of dietary fiber, 4 grams of sugars and 7 grams of protein. This snack is calcium rich. Yay! This product does contain soy, wheat and milk.

I loved trying Lean Cuisine Spinach Artichoke Dip with Pita Bread and writing a product review about it. I will be buying it again. The dip has ingredients like Parmesan, Colby, cheddar and asiago cheeses in it. That makes for great flavor. I recommend this snack and it is on my current grocery store list. A snack that spoils me and helps me diet. What can be better? As diet friendly frozen snacks go, this one is fabulous. It is very filling, also. Wonderful!
