Labor Day is the United States federal holiday observed on the first Monday in September, so another Nashville Labor Day weekend is almost here! Music City is brimming with Labor Day activities for those looking to enjoy a holiday away from their labors.

From arts and entertainment to festivals with lots and lots of music, Music City promises many fun activities to help visitors escape the tedium of their regular 9 – 5 jobs. With the National Folk Festival, theater, football games, art exhibits, laser shows, and did I mention music? — Nashville is definitely the place to be for the Labor Day holiday weekend Sept. 1 – 5, 2011.

September 2-4 — National Folk Festival at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park in Nashville. September 3 — Zzzoofari Slumber at the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere. September 3 — First Saturday Art Crawl at art galleries across Nashville. September 3 — Cosmic Concert Laser Shows at Adventure Science Center Sudekum Planetarium. September 3 — Musicians Corner at Centennial Park (through November 5).
