What is a Family Tree?

There are some trees that make good shade trees, others that produce wonderful fruit and blooms and there are trees like my favorite, the Mimosa Tree. All though it just makes a mess all over, I still love it.

What would it really be like without them? There would be no oxygen, no nourishment for our bodies, no beautiful flowers to smell, no colorful butterflies to admire and, no life to measure to. However, we all can admit, trees are a sign of life and bring pleasure to the environment.

What does a tree – a family tree consists of? Roots, a trunk, branches, leaves, some buds, flowers and maybe some fruit. Did you know a tree can be affected by stress; they can suffer from thirst, malnutrition and abuse. Just like us they breathe, take nourishment, grow and die. Trees have enemies just like us and are subject to disease, pests such as bugs and worms that cause injuries and make them sick.

What part of the tree, the family tree are you? Do you bring about greenery for shade for others, or blooms of laughter, love and joy? Are you a branch full of leaves with beautiful peace? Are you the root of the tree, which is the lifeline of the foundation of self-control? Or, are you the trunk, which is full of stability that gives forgiveness out to the family branches? Do you have buds that over look others fault? Do you have colorful flowers of patience that the birds and butterflies around you feed from.

Or, are you an enemy of the family tree that causes stress and brings disease? A pest of a bug or worm that just feeds off of everyone, leaving spots and blemishes in the family leaves. Do you stir up mess and cause separation in the season of blooms? Are you easily offended by the first wind that blows your way? By any chance would you be a slimy snail of a family member that sneaks around destroying others faith, friendship and strength in the family tree?

Does your root need to be dug up and thrown in the fire, or do your roots have nourishment for the tree?
