What Cool Gadgets Go If the Ford Evos Goes into Production

The Ford Evos was on display at the most recent Frankfurt Motor Show. The car is rumored to be on the fast track to full production, with no confirmation or denial from Ford. The Evos, like so many concept cars, needs to be tuned up a little before it hits the highways. After all, a lot of the “wow factor” of a concept stems from design elements that just aren’t practical for daily use. Here are a few of the pretty appointments that will stay and a few that will go according to J. Mays, Ford’s chief designer.Gull wing doors appear on many concept cars, but are ridiculous on a daily driver, so they will have to go. Extreme fastback silhouette is out. Low raked-back windshield and roofline would need to disappear. The slit LED headlight stays. A jet-black grille will probably stay.

Once you look at all of the changes spelled out, it sounds like there will be very little of the concept car left and a slightly redesigned Ford Focus will be the result. Disappointing to say the least. Find out more at new concept cars.
