Tyson Chandler Leads New York Knicks to Victory

The New York Knicks put on a show against the Charlotte Bobcats Tuesday night (Jan. 24), led by 20 points and 17 rebounds from Tyson Chandler. He did it all in just under 30 minutes of game time, truly showing how much he was on his game in this one. The 111-78 win was the biggest of the season for the Knicks and it didn’t even take a huge game from Carmelo Anthony to get it done.

Anthony finished with just 1 point on the night, going 0-for-7 from the field and 1-for-1 from the free throw line. He did have 11 rebounds and 4 assists though, so it wasn’t a completely statless night. Amare Stoudemire chipped in 18, Jared Jeffries had 11 off the bench and all 13 Knicks players scored on the night. It was an impressive game that got the Knicks back on the winning side of things.

The win over Charlotte improved the Knicks to 7-10 on the year and kept the team tied in the win column with the Boston Celtics. Next up is a game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday (Jan. 25) where the Knicks can run the winning streak to two games.
