Three More Great Sewing Projects that You Can Make Using Bandanas

A little over a year ago I wrote an article called Five Great Sewing Projects That You Can Make From Bandanas, and since I have wrote that article I have found even more great projects that can be made using bandanas. Here are three more great projects that can be made using bandanas to add to your to-make list.

Alphamom: Pirate Girl Bandana Skirt

Lindsey Boardman, who writes the blog Filth Wizardry, wrote a great tutorial for a Pirate Girl Bandana Skirt on the website Alphamom. Lindsey’s skirt is a cute pirate girl skirt, that would look great any day, whether you are dressed as a pirate or not.

Lindsey’s skirt is easy to make, and takes only basic sewing skills. Not only is this an easy project to make, it is also very inexpensive, as all you need to make this skirt is two bandanas, which can be bought at the Dollar Tree, and a piece of scrap fabric for the waistband.

Dresdencarrie: Bandana Chevron Tablecloth/Quilt Top

I am absolutely in love with this Bandana Chevron Tablecloth/Quilt Top from Dresdencarrie. It is such a fun project, and would make a great quilt, especially in a Western themed room.

At first glance this looks like a very difficult project, but upon closer inspection, it really isn’t that complicated, and it takes only basic sewing skills. Plus the quilt top is actually very inexpensive to make, as it takes only twenty bandanas to make it. This means that if you purchase your bandanas at the Dollar Store you can make this quilt top for less than $20!

The tutorial itself is very easy to follow with well-written step-by-step instructions, as well as plenty of pictures to show the sewing process.

Mrs. Sassy Crafter: Bandana Bag

The Sassy Crafter at the blog Mrs. Sassy Crafter shares a great tutorial on how she made a drawstring bag using two bandanas.

I love this bag, as it is a great size bag, and is very easy to make. Like the previous two projects, this bandana bag requires only basic sewing skills, so it is a great sewing project for a beginner. The tutorial for the bandana bag is very easy to follow with step-by-step instructions, as well as photos to help illustrate the instructions.
