The Surprise Party

We got my mother out of the house,
We were as quiet as a mouse.
We got the food and spirits, too.
And invited friends to our venue.

We light the candles and decorated,
We hid the cars and were berated.
Our friends asked if mother knew,
We said no and then went whew!

Mom walked – we yelled surprise,
She almost fainted before our eyes.
We got her a chair and there she sat,
Trying and trying to catch her breath.
