The Cactus Blooms

The cacti plants so tall and high,
They seem to reach up to the sky.
Their lovely flowers bloom in the spring,
And birds their nests on cacti cling.

The mice build homes in cacti walls,
The owls put nests and hear the calls,
Of birds who live in cacti trees,
They all have homes in cacti you see.

The cacti blooms in early spring,
The blossoms spring forth on the wing.
The reds and yellows do abound,
And purple flowers can be found.

The cacti has a special home,
In the desert – and if you roam,
You will be sure to admire all
Of the cacti short and tall.
