Technology Infused MacBook Pros Win Hands Down

Many wonder why I advocate the use of the Droid over the IPhone but when it comes to laptops, I choose the Apple MacBook Pro. Since the introduction of the MacBook Pro using the Intel processor, I have been nothing but pleased with my laptop. From the outstanding High Definition Screen to the backlit keyboard, Apple makes the MacBook series fun to use and a great travel companion.

I can assure you that Apple makes a quality product. Before I upgraded to my current MacBook, my old one lasted for more than 2 years without being outdated. What Apple does is forecast what feature enhancements will be useful and build their products around that. Hence, MacBook’s are infused with the latest and greatest technologies which do not age as quickly as pc’s. With any personal computer upgrade, the product is already dated at time of purchase which is not the case for MacBook’s.

The MacBook Pro comes with more than enough storage space that you are able to store graphics, video, files and load programs. The battery life is acceptable for the Mac although I wish it could last for eternity. The best thing that makes Mac has going for itself is that you are able to run both Mac and PC operating systems simultaneously using Parallels Desktop. Since we are still in a PC/Windows dominated world, it is sometimes necessary to have windows applications/programs installed on your laptop in order to interface with the home/office. With a one-time setup, Parallels works in the background of your Mac as if you were working on a separate PC. This comes in handy when you have windows specific programs that are used only at the office. Security is also a great bonus with the Mac. Although, Apple OS has its fair share of hackers, Microsoft seems to have 500 times the amount of threats due to its strong-hold on the market. Many hackers despise Microsoft for its market domination so they target Windows and other products to make them less appealing.

Owning a MacBook is not a stroll through the park. A Mac could set you back a pretty penny but like I said before they do last quite a long time before you need to upgrade. The other issue is that Microsoft Office and other programs that you are accustomed to using on a daily basis on a pc you may be required to purchase the Mac versions. Finally, unless you are jet-setting around the world in first-class, I would recommend the 15-inch screen model or smaller as it fits comfortably in coach or business classes. Although, Windows PC’s dominate the laptop market I prefer a MacBook Pro as my favorite laptop.
