Making for quite the star-studded spectacle, the stars of The Weinstein Company’s “I Don’t Know How She Does It” gathered together at AMC Lincoln Square Theater in New York City for their film’s premiere on Monday night (September 12).
With Sarah Jessica Parker and Christina Hendricks leading the charge, the lovely ladies were joined by fellow castmates including Olivia Munn, Jessica Szohr, and Greg Kinnear for the Big Apple movie debut.
Garnering plenty of support from their celebrity friends, other famous faces hitting the red carpet included Kevin Jonas and wife Danielle, as well as SJP’s husband, Matthew Broderick, singer Jordin Sparks and actress Sophia Bush.
As for the night’s top fashion picks, a curvaceous Hendricks definitely proved to be the center of attention in a rose-colored satin Vivienne Westwood number that enhanced her already-ample bustline. The “Mad Men” actress easily overshadowed her co-stars, including fashion icon SJP who surprisingly kept things simple in a chic floor-length maxi by Antonio Berardi.
Meanwhile Olivia Munn chose a three-quarter length red dress by Carolina Herrera as her attire for the evening. Not a shock, considering she had checked out the designer’s Spring 2012 collection earlier in the day.
Based on the novel by British author Allison Pearson, “I Don’t Know How She Does It” is “centered on the life of Kate Reddy (Sarah Jessica Parker), a finance executive who is the breadwinner for her husband and two kids.” Doug McGrath directs the 2011 film adaptation, which also stars Pierce Brosnan, Kelsey Grammer, Seth Meyers, Busy Philipps and Sarah Shahi.
Speaking to reporters about her role of a busy working mom in the new movie, Parker explained, “They made me run, then they took me to Boston for three days and they made me run there in cobblestones from the 1700′s. I was like ‘Ahhh’. But I got through it. Because, you know, working mothers are on the run, that’s what they do. They’re running, running, running, running, running. So it’s real.”
“I Don’t Know How She Does It” is set to hit theaters this Friday, September 16th.
