As a busy mom of three young rambunctious children, I often do not have time to shower before I need to be somewhere 10 minutes ago. I also have sensitive skin. With these two factors in mind, I have found it difficult to find a deodorant that keeps me feeling fresh for long periods of time and is gentle. Always looking to find the perfect combination, I was happy to try Secret Clinical Strength: Sensitive Skin.
The product is described by Secret as being “the strength you want with the sensitivity you need.” It is hypoallergenic and claims to possess prescription strength wetness protection. Secret Clinical Strength has a very light, soft scent. It applies with a turn-dial and is creamy like a lotion. The container seems slightly smaller than many regular-sized deodorants.
Overnight Protection
One of the best features of this product is the fantastic overnight protection. As an on-the-go parent, my day gets busy as soon as the sun rises. While the deodorant didn’t help me to match the energy of my 2-year-old (wouldn’t that be an amazing product?), I still felt very fresh despite having been asleep for seven hours.
Sensitive Skin
The first time I used Secret Clinical Strength, I had just gotten out of the shower and shaved my underarms. Unfortunately, my need to be quick resulted in a sloppy job. Even though my skin was very irritated, I felt no burning or stinging. It actually felt soothing to apply. Having gone through the pain of products I have used in the past, I was very impressed. Not having any irritation under my arms gave me one less thing to be concerned about during the day.
Going the Distance
With driving my older children to and from school and extra curricular activities and chasing after an energetic toddler, my days are full and fast-paced. I need a deodorant that really performs and is long-lasting. I had zero issues with Secret Clinical Strength. It kept me dry throughout the day, and when I exercised, I was able to leave the gym feeling completely comfortable that I did not smell. Obviously it doesn’t eliminate the need to bathe, but it definitely helped me feel more confident in between by keeping me fresh and dry!
Overall I was extremely impressed with Secret Clinical Strength: Sensitive Skin. I think I’ve found my new deodorant!
