McDonald’s McRibs Sandwich and Smithfield Complaint by the HSUS

According to recent news reports, Smithfield Foods, which supplies meat for McDonald’s McRib sandwiches, mistreats some of their animals.

While many are upset about the news their cherished McRib sandwich contains bits of pieces of an animal they did not know were included in this menu item, can they really complain?

A recent complaint from the Humane Society of the United States shed light on some situations at Smithfield that should make everyone feel ashamed.

If a person does not question what is in their food or where it comes from, do they have a right to complain about ingredients? Some think so, while many say no. Others think McDonald’s fast food restaurants and others that are part of this industry are just giving people what they want. However, no one asks for chemical additives or artificial binders that could be harmful to their health.

Information published on the Huffington Post states the McRib sandwich contains a variety of pig parts, such as the stomach and heart.

Mystery meat no more, the public will now know exactly what is in the McRib, including some chemical additives some claim are a binding agent. The Humane Society of the United States is hoping one of their youtube.com videos of what they say shows conditions at one of the Smithfield locations where meat is processed for McDonald’s McRib sandwiches will cause others to see the McHating side of the industry. In many areas of the country, Americans will continue eating what they know is trash, unhealthy or possibly contributing to their obesity, high blood pressure or diabetes. Some really just don’t get it.
