Kate Middleton Forms Unlikely Bond with Member of the Royal Family

Kate Middleton is enjoying a rare role in the British royal family — bonding with her father-in-law, Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales. The Telegraph reports that the Duchess of Cambridge attended the Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden with Prince William’s father recently as patrons of opera and ballet. Both appreciate these types of cultured performances. Prior to Kate’s wedding to William, she and Charles collaborated on the music to be played at their wedding.

A Royal Opera House source said in The Telegraph:

“The Prince is a firm supporter of the Opera House and the Duchess also seems to hugely enjoy her visits to Covent Garden. Both have been very enthusiastic about the productions they have seen together.”

Both royals have visited the opera since April, sharing a genuine interest in supporting the arts in England. The Queen is a patron of the Royal Ballet while Prince Charles acts as President.

Kate Middleton majored in art history and is known to support a variety of art organizations. This no doubt makes Prince Charles proud of his daughter-in-law and of his son, Prince William!
