It’s like a Storm when They Tell You

Voices hot and dark like summer midnight rain,
that falls and falls and floods and drowns.
Words like rumbling thunder, crashing.
Tongues that flash like silver lightening.
Hurricane of people talking, people yelling.
People are dying.

Eyes cold and white like winter morning blizzards,
that swirl and whirl and freeze and bite.
Gazes, like dense snow drifts, banking.
Looks that burn like the freeze of hailing.
Whirlwind of people talking, people yelling.
People are dying.
