How to Stay Close with Your Family when You Live Miles Apart

Family is a very important part of life and it’s very important that you always keep your family in your life. Even though your miles and miles apart, you can still make sure that your family is apart of your life. If you and your family don’t live very close but you’d still like to remain as close as possible, here are some tips that can help.

1. Talk daily.
If possible, talk to family members everyday. It doesn’t have to be every family member that you have, just talk to at least one family member over the phone. This will help you and your family keep one another informed on what is going on in your lives. It’s important that you

You should try to talk to someone on the phone daily, but if you can’t speak over the phone, you also have email as an option. This is an easy way to talk to your family members and tell them how you are feeling without them hearing you cry or without you hearing them cry because they miss you.

2. Writing letters.
Another way of communicating with your family is by writing letters. Include some pictures in with your letters of you with your friends or your boyfriend/girlfriend and of some sites in the city you live in. Show your family that you are happy with where you are and how you are living. Ask your family to send you pictures of everyone as well.

3. Visit each other.
You try to spend the holidays with your family as hard as you can. When it comes to visiting, you should take turns visiting each other, it could cost too much money for one person to do all of the visiting.

4. Gift Packages.
Send gift packages to one another. You can send them a package with souveniers from the city you live in. You could also include their favorite snacks or candy with cute stuffed animals or fun games.

There are many ways you can still remain close with family members even when you aren’t physically close. Just be creative, use your imagination and always remind them that you love them and miss them.
