How to Make the Mummy Unwrap Game and Bats on a Spoon

Fun festivities are afoot on the spookiest night of the year. And what idea is more fun than having a couple fun filled Halloween party games to start the night off right.

The Mummy Unwrap game adds a little bit of curious mystery as the party goers try to unwrap little prizes. And the Bats on a Spoon lets you play a balancing game with Halloween flair. All these games are lots of fun and gets everyone who plays them ready for a special night of trick or treating.

In the Mummy wrap game you not only wrap up mummies, but you also have to unwrap the mummy wrappings and find prizes.

Mummy Unwrap Game

What you will need for this Halloween game:

Roll of Toilet Paper 10 Small Prizes such as bat rings, Halloween pencil, or small candies

A day before the party, unwrap one roll of toilet paper and tape small, lightweight prize at the end of the roll. Then you roll up the toilet paper back up taping prizes at different intervals until the whole roll is rolled back up with the prizes inside.

At the party, you ask the players to sit in a circle. And each person gets to unwrap the end of the toilet paper around a body part like an ankle, forehead, or wait. He keeps unrolling the toilet paper roll until a prize is found. He then tears off the paper and passes the roll to the next player. You continue playing until all the prizes have been unrolled.

I also like to make these toilet paper rolls and place them into Halloween gift bags as a take home fun activity.

Bats on a Spoon

What you will need:

Play dough or Ping-Pong Balls Orange and Black Paint Teaspoon

First to start, you take the play dough and roll out several play dough balls the size of a large gum ball. And now you let them thoroughly dry in an undisturbed, warm place in your house. If the play dough has tiny cracks in the exterior, then do not worry as the cracks will make the play dough balls extra spooky after painted. If you want a simpler version, you can buy ping pong balls instead.

Next, you paint the balls orange all over and let dry. Now, you paint on a black bat on one of the sides and let dry again.

To play this festive Halloween party game, you set up some sort of starting and finishing line. You could either hang orange party streamers down two areas from the ceiling or set up chairs. Next you hand each child a bat ball on a spoon. At the whistle, the kids must race to the finish line without touching their bat ball. If it falls, the player must retrieve the bat ball and return to the starting line. And begin again until someone makes it to the finish line first wins the game.
