Halloween Safety Tips!

Taking your kids out on a spooky night of scares on Halloween can be fun. But safety is very important when doing so. I am going to give you a few things to think about before you decide to fill your kids up with sweet sugary candy.

1. Make sure that you bring a flashlight with you if you are walking your kids around. It will be very dark and it will help you and your kids see better at night.

2. Bring a cell phone with you as well, just in case you need to call anyone for an emergency. Make sure that it is charged to full as well because you never know how long you will be out once the kids find more houses.

3. Make sure that you lock your house and turn off the lights before you leave to not attract any attention. People go up to houses with lights on, on Halloween night. If you have a house alarm, make sure that you set it up before you leave. This may help in the long run.

4. Make sure your kids have great bags to collect candy. Make sure that they are not using anything that has holes in it or anything that could break from having too much candy. You could find good halloween bags at a local store like Wal-mart or a halloween store near by. You might want to get one for yourself if you love candy as well.

5. Make sure your kids costumes are great and together for a long night. Wear walking shoes or shoes that are very comfortable to walk for hours in. You don’t want really sore feet at the end of the night. Also bring an emergency kit or band-aids for any cuts or bruises.

Thats it, enjoy trick or treating and happy halloween!!
