Haikus for Winter Nights

With the holidays upon us, and nostalgia and sentiment in the air, here are some holiday haikus to add to the magic of the winter season.

Haiku for the Impatient Child
I want my gifts please
So tell me there they are now
I know you hid them

Hanukkah Time
Candles brightly glow
As oil sizzles and we play
Dreidle by the light

It’s Not Easy Going All Over The World
After Santa parked
He forgot where the sleigh was
Rudolph signals him

Get Ready
Snow capped mountain top
With a whoosh the skier goes
Heading down the slope

The Couple
Midnight New Year’s kiss
Confetti sprinkled lovers
Auld lang syne just right
