The Safe Place for Animals Shelter is a non-profit organization seeking to provide a safe place for animals without homes, on a mission to place as many of these animals as possible into loving homes without the worry of the animals being put to sleep as most shelters do after a certain amount of time in the shelter. All private funding is used in the operation of the program.

In addition to providing adoption, the center can also provide an array of other services for pets, including spay and neuter services, grooming, and more. In addition, the animal shelter also depends on the profits from a thrift store to keep operations going, and for those looking for a great bargain in Sumner County, their is no better place to go.

The most disturbing part of the thrift store is that it is located inside of the same building as the shelter. This makes for the most unpleasant of smells, making browsing the goods sometimes less than desirable to do. I am unsure why they would choose to place the two together, but should you decide to go, you have been warned.

Inside of the thrifts tore you will find clothing for babies, toddlers, children, and teens, as well as clothing for men and women. There are also shoes, books, DVDs and CDs, dishes, cookware, knickknacks, jewelry, animal related goods, pictures and picture frames, and so much more at incredible prices. Clothes are usually priced at just $1 each, with some fabulous finds waiting.

The thrift store is small, so it can be a tight squeeze to look at some of the items, however, taking the time to do is sure to bring out the bargains. And, you are helping one of the best animal rescue organizations in the Middle Tennessee area at the same time. Head out to their facilities at 1070 Old Highway 109 in Gallatin and find yourself a bargain!
