What are a few more billions added to the national debt, when the national debt reached roughly $14.67 trillion, with a couple billion in interest added daily to the debt, and equal to more than $47,000 for every living citizen of the U.S.?
What’s wrong with a few more promises anyhow?
What’s in a promise? Actually nothing, it means nothing, is not written in stone and has not gone and approved by the legislature. But it sounds good, when the President addresses a joint Congress next week by laying out his vision and plan “to create jobs” (for the infrastructure) to build roads, streets, bridges and highways.
Sure you will Mr. Obama, however, before you saddle the horse and ride off, tell the public how and where you will get the funds for new infra-structure jobs? Further, will you also attach a traceable directive to any job creation program, such as company “A” employs x-amount jobs today and (as a result of your new job program) added x-amount jobs?
Of course, in reaching out to Congress and the public, you will acknowledge the fact, over 13.9 million Americans are unemployed, with an additional three, or more unemployed millions that have long given up looking for a job. Of course, you will also promise those millions, (no longer accounted for by the labor department) they too will get a job through your effort and actions?
We are sure, you will tell the nation “you inherited this job mess” and in three years under your administration, you did all you could, “but it really is not your fault”! In doing so, we will be listening to your explanation how the national debt increased by over four trillion dollars under you leadership, even though “you had nothing to do with that”!
