Dear Atheist

Dear Atheist,
Let me ask you a question
You said God isn’t real, right?
Let me plead my position.
Who gave me sweetest peace
When I lost my daddy?
The presence in my silence
Who was sitting there with me?
Who sent me on that journey
When others criticized?
Who aided my success
Proving all their doubts, lies?
Who protected me
When I walked in harm’s way?
Making sure I was safe
And I’m still here today.
Is it coincidental
That everything falls in place?
That I stand up tall
When I should fall on my face?
See, maybe I’d listen
If I didn’t know Him
Maybe I’d be persuaded
If my faith was still slim
But I’ve witnessed His greatness
And I’ve felt His pure love
I’ve experienced proof
That there’s someone above
So let me ask once again
Please answer my appeal.
Dear atheist,
Why do you say God ain’t real?
