While appearing on the Dr. Phil program, Casey Anthony’s father, George Anthony, made a statement that noticeably shocked his wife, Cindy Anthony. The couple admit that they share different opinions on what they believed happened to their granddaughter Caylee. Casey Anthony (the couple’s daughter) was acquitted of murdering her toddler daughter, Caylee, this past July, although many still believe she was guilty of the crime.
As reported by the Huffington Post’s HuffpostCrime section (www.huffingtonpost.com ), George Anthony revealed on the Dr. Phil show, that he feels that either Casey, or someone she was with, perhaps gave some kind of drug to Caylee, to put her to sleep, and possibly gave her too much, which ended up killing her.He feels that Casey may have done this in order to put the child to sleep so that she could go out that evening and have a good time. George Anthony continued to say that he feels Casey had some part in the burying of Caylee’s body in the woods, that he believes that she was present, and perhaps had some help.
Cindy Anthony, Casey’s mother, claims she does not agree with her husband on this matter and she does not hold the same beliefs about what happened. Cindy seemed very surprised to hear the words coming from her husband’s mouth on the show, claiming he has never even expressed this opinion to her. Cindy Anthony says she buys into the theory of Caylee drowning in the family’s swimming pool, which is what her daughter’s defense team claimed, however, Cindy Anthony does not agree with the circumstances surrounding the supposed drowning.
Only the person or persons responsible for dear little Caylee’s death, truly know what happened that day. Many people still believe in Casey Anthony’s guilt in this crime, and feel that justice was not served for Caylee back in July.
