Bret Michaels is in the news again. No, he’s not in the hospital (thankfully) and no he’s not starring in another reality show (not now, anyway). What Bret Michaels is doing may surprise you. He’s going to the dogs, or shall I say, going into the dog product business.
Winning the “Celebrity Apprentice” in 2010 may have sparked a new interest for Michaels. He is currently developing a product line for dog merchandise to be sold at PetSmart stores. His product line is called the “Bret Michaels Pets Rock Collection”. This seems to be a fitting name for a famous rocker.
Michaels is a pet owner and he wanted to design some “cool” doggy duds that rock for our canine friends. The details of the new line is still hush, hush, but the collection will offer products such as dog clothing, beds, leashes, bowls, collars and feeders.
These products are being marketed as fun, unique and of high quality. The Bret Michaels collection should be an interesting one to see. It makes me wonder what the collection will look like. Will the doggy bowls be shaped like little guitars? Will the dog clothing fabric be designed with thorns and roses?
Bret Michaels has had a busy career, beginning with the rock band Poison and in later years releasing several solo albums. He was a judge on the “Nashville Star” singing competition; he starred in three seasons of the reality television series, “Rock of Love” and won the “Celebrity Apprentice” competition. Michaels is also active a supporter of the American Diabetes Association.
The Bret Michaels collection will be available in the summer of 2012 in PetSmart stores across the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada. The products will also be available online through the PetSmart website.
