Bards and Sages Publishing Confirms ACX Deal

Bellmawr, NJ: Speculative fiction independent publisher Bards and Sages Publishing announced that it has finalized an arrangement with ACX to produce and distribute selected titles as audiobooks. The deal will make audiobooks available through Amazon.com, Audible.com, and iTunes.com.

The ACX service, one of the newest ventures launched by Amazon.com, is currently only offered to publishers and independent authors with proven track records appropriate for audio production. The initial audiobooks in development are The Doom Guardian and A Game of Blood, both written by company founder Julie Ann Dawson.

“Because this is a completely new direction for us, I felt it appropriate to use myself as the guinea pig before rolling this out for all of our books,” explained Dawson. “Once we’ve established positive results with these first two titles, we’ll be working with our talented stable of authors to get their books produced as well.”

Bards and Sages’ authors include Pushcart Prize nominee KJ Hannah Greenberg, Pearson Award and Cape Fear Crime Festival winner Lynn Veach Sadler, Hollywood Book Festival winner Peter A. Balaskas, and Best Horror of the Year Honorable Mention Kevin Wallis. The company also produces a well-respected speculative fiction journal, The Bards and Sages Quarterly.
