A Christmas Poem for Jennifer

Christmas Time is here again,
How I wish that it would end.
This time of year is hardest of all
I’ll never forget the things I saw

You took your life, you took mine too
The blood I saw was all from you.
You were my sister and my one true friend,
Now I’m more alone than I’ve ever been.

A time to celebrate family and love
The birth of Jesus, whom we trust.
But for me that’s hard to do,
I don’t feel like celebrating without you.

But celebrate we must for the children’s sake,
For they deserve the holiday’s

When I see your children’s face, when they look at me and say, “I miss my mommy” I’ll say, “I miss her too, we all do. And she is with us here today to celebrate this Christmas day.”

Merry Christmas Jennifer, Beloved Mom, Wife, Sister, and Aunt. 9-14-85—12-25-2010
