If you’re like me, there’s nothing you like better than hosting a Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings. But if you’re like me, there’s no way you’re going to cook it.
Fortunately, there are a number of fine restaurant and catering businesses in southeast Michigan that are ready to provide complete and fully-cooked Thanksgiving menus. Why not take it easy this year, and order your Thanksgiving dinner ready-made? Don’t delay, though. All of these businesses require prior ordering, and time is running out!
Brookshire Restaurant at Royal Park Hotel in Rochester offers a traditional turkey dinner that serves from 12 to 14 people, probably just right for your extended family. The cost is $225, and you must order by Monday, November 21st. You can pick up your meal on November 23rd from noon to 6 pm at the hotel conservatory. Call 248-652-2600 for questions or to order. Crank’s Catering and Banquet Center in Shelby Township will provide a Pick Up and Go Dinner consisting of a 12 to 14 pound turkey, ham or kielbasa, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans almondine, cranberries, salad, relish assortment, and bread, with apple or pumpkin pie for dessert. The meal will serve 15 to 20 people and costs $225 plus tax. Order by noon on November 18th. You’ll be able to pick it up by 3 pm on November 24. Call 586-247-3800 to order. Ernie’s of Clinton Township offers a complete Thanksgiving Day dinner for 8 to 10 for $159.95 plus tax. They accept prepaid orders only. You can pick it up from 10 am to noon on November 24. Call them at 586-286-8435. They’re located at 16655 Nineteen Mile Road, Clinton Township.
Gino’s Surf Banquet Center in Harrison Township will provide Thanksgiving to Go — turkey, whipped potatoes, gravy, stuffing, mixed vegetables, candied yams, rolls, and pumpkin pie. Dinner for 4 to 6 people costs $100; for 8 to 10 people it’s $150; 10 to 12, $200. You must order and provide pick-up time by November 18th. Call 586-468-2611. J. Baldwin’s Thanksgiving To Go includes a 16 to 18 pound turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, green beans amandine, mixed greens with ranch dressing and raspberry vinaigrette, bread with pesto dipping sauce and choice of dessert — pumpkin pie, apple pie, or pumpkin cheesecake. Must be ordered by November 17th and picked up on Wednesday, or on Thanksgiving Day by 1 pm. The charge is $185. Lazy Bones Smokehouse has two locations, one in Clinton Township and one in Roseville. They offer applewood-smoked turkey with cornbread stuffing, braised greens, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, cranberry-orange relish and pumpkin pie. The dinner serves about 10. A la carte options are also available. The dinner costs $129.99 if you pick it up hot and ready to eat on Thanksgiving (pick up between 11 am and 2 pm), or $99.99 if you pick it up on Wednesday or earlier and reheat it yourself.
