When I found out I was expecting,
I was so scared,
But yet so excited,
You can never be prepared.
We faced a few obstacles,
Carrying you along the way,
But when I first saw you,
Tears of happiness came a long the way.
When I first got to hold you,
I felt so much love deep within,
Knowing I just became a mother,
and my wonderful life would begin.
Here you are,
At three years old,
getting into things,
being funny and bold,
But when you hug me,
and as I watch you sleep at night,
I am just so blessed and thankful,
To have you in my life.
