Yahoo! Mail and NBC Allow Fans of ‘The Office’ to Hack Dwight’s E-mail

For any fan who has ever wanted to peek inside one of the most complex minds on television today, Yahoo! Mail and NBC are making it possible with a special look into the personal e-mail account of Dwight K. Schrute (Rainn Wilson). Right now fans can go in and take a look at Dwight’s inbox and also check out what messages he has been passing along. For the ultra fan of “The Office,” there is even a chance to send a message of their own to Dwight.

Getting Inside

In order to “hack” into Dwight’s e-mail account, all that is required is to go to NBC.com and click on the applicable link. Once inside, fans can look around and click on the various folders and sub-folders in Dwight’s Yahoo! Mail account as if it were their very own.

Even Trash is Treasure

While hacking Dwight’s Yahoo! Mail account, fans should be sure to look at all the different folders and sub-folders as each one contains a unique perspective into the mind of Dwight. Plus, fans get to see what Dwight is sending, receiving and even putting in the trash folder. Even though it is trash, the message contained is one that would only be sent to someone like Dwight. All the folders and sub-folders, excluding the Spam and Draft folders, operate just like any other Yahoo! Mail account, making the hacking experience extremely easy and extremely fun.

Say What’s on Your Mind

Perhaps the best part about this joint promotion is the fact that Yahoo! Mail and NBC actually allow everyday fans to send Dwight a personal message. Fans can type in anything they want (within reason) and simply have to fill out their name and put in a subject line to go along with their message before hitting “send.” Fans can then check out the inbox and see if their message made the cut. While there they can read over other messages left by other fans.

At it Again for a Limited Time

This is not the first time that Yahoo! Mail and NBC have teamed up to bring fans of “The Office” the fun and excitement that only e-mail hacking can offer. After Michael Scott (Steve Carell) left for Colorado, the two let fans do much the same with his e-mail account as they are now doing with Dwight’s. However, just as with the fun that fans had with Michael’s Yahoo! Mail account ended, the fun with Dwight’s will only be for a limited time as well. Therefore, fans of “The Office” should take advantage of this unique opportunity and peek into the mind of Dwight while they can.
