PRECIPITATION WILL CONTINUE ACROSS MOST OFLINCOLN…CLARK AND MOHAVE COUNTIES ON THURSDAY BEFORE TAPERINGOFF ON FRIDAY.NVZ018-019-010700-/O.CON.KVEF.WS.W.0008.111201T1200Z-111202T1500Z/SHEEP RANGE-SPRING MOUNTAINS-RED ROCK CANYON-INCLUDING…THE TOWN OF MT CHARLESTON251 PM PST WED NOV 30 2011…WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM THURSDAY TO7 AM PST FRIDAY…A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AMTHURSDAY TO 7 AM PST FRIDAY FOR THE SPRING MOUNTAINS AND SHEEPRANGE FOR ELEVATIONS ABOVE 4500 FEET.* TIMING: SNOW IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN LATE TONIGHT AND COULD BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES ON THURSDAY AND THURSDAY NIGHT BEFORE DISSIPATING ON FRIDAY MORNING.* SNOW LEVEL: LOWERING FROM 5000 FEET TONIGHT TO AROUND 3000 FEET BY EARLY FRIDAY MORNING.* TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: 7 TO 14 INCHES OF SNOW ARE EXPECTED ABOVE 6000 FEET WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE. 2 TO 4 INCHES OF SNOW ARE EXPECTED IN THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF RED ROCK CANYON ABOVE 4500 FEET…WITH AN INCH OR SO OF SNOW POSSIBLE ON THE RED ROCK CANYON SCENIC LOOP AND AT SPRING MOUNTAIN RANCH STATE PARK.* WINDS: NORTH WINDS 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO OVER 60 MPH.* IMPACTS: STRONG WINDS WILL CREATE REDUCED VISIBILITY WITH NEAR WHITEOUT CONDITIONS POSSIBLE. TRAVEL ON KYLE CANYON AND LEE CANYON ROADS AS WELL AS STATE ROUTE 160 NEAR MOUNTAIN SPRINGS WILL LIKELY BE DIFFICULT. SOME TREES MAY BEND OR BREAK DUE TO THE WEIGHT OF SNOW AS WELL AS HIGH WINDS.
