Where to Buy a Real Christmas Tree in the Phoenix and Maricopa County Area

If you’re in the Phoenix area and you haven’t gotten your Christmas tree yet, there are several tree farms and nurseries to choose from.

Tolmachoff Farms

Precut Christmas trees available at Tolmachoff Farms include Douglas fir, Grand fir, and Noble fir.

Hours of operation are Sunday, and Tuesday to Thursday 9 AM to 8 PM, Friday and Saturday 9 AM to 9 PM, closed Monday.

On Saturday December 11, Santa Claus will make his annual appearance from Noon to 4 PM.

Vertuccio Farms

From December 1 until Christmas Eve, Vertuccio Farms carries precut Christmas trees grown in Oregon. Available varieties include Douglas fir, Fraser fir, Grand fir, and Noble fir.

Vertuccio Farms is open Monday to Thursday 9 AM to 9 PM, Friday and Saturday 9 AM to 10 PM, and Sunday 10 AM to 7 PM.

Tim Mitchell’s Christmas Trees

There are three Tim Mitchell’s locations in Maricopa County. The main lot is at

Through Christmas Eve, you can find precut Christmas trees of multiple varieties at Tim Mitchell’s, including Douglas fir, Fraser fir, Grand fir, Noble fir, and Nordmann fir. Trees are up to 25 feet in height.

You can also buy wreaths, and have your Christmas tree flocked. Christmas tree delivery and setup service is available.

Mother Nature’s Farm

At Mother Nature’s Farm, live Elderica Pines at $10 per foot are available to use as Christmas trees and then replant. There is a field of Noble fir at $12 per foot where you choose the tree you want and it will be cut for you. There are also precut Douglas fir at $10 per foot. Wreaths and Christmas crafts are also available.

Hours during Christmas season are Monday to Thursday 3 PM to 9 PM, Friday to Sunday 9 AM to 9 PM.

Also, if you can come to the Farm on Saturday, December 11, that’s the annual “Snow Day” with tons of snow hauled in to make a snow hill for snow tubing and other fun for the kids. $5 includes the hill, hayrides, maze, air bounce, and animals to pet. Hot dogs, chips, soda, and other snacks available.

Desert Horizon Nursery

Desert Horizon Nursery has both precut Christmas trees (Douglas fir, Grand fir, and Noble fir), and living trees that can be replanted after Christmas (Afghan pine). In addition, there are Christmas wreaths and other decorations, and tree tying and tree baling services.

Desert Horizon Nursery is open seven days a week during Christmas season, 8 AM to 9 PM.

When purchasing a Christmas tree, it’s always a good idea to call ahead to confirm the hours and what is available. Also the longer you wait, the more chance there is the farm or nursery will be out of the type of tree you prefer.
