Where Does Your Purrfect Kitty Sleep?

Experts say pets should not sleep with their owners. They say that pets disturb our sleep. They say that this is the number one reason why most people do not sleep at night. Yet, where does your purrfect kitty sleep?

Is there anything better than snuggling up to a warm kitty and sleeping at night? She is soft. She is sweet and she can purr you to sleep? Even snuggling up to your husband isn’t always as fun. Face it, no matter how much we love our husbands, most of them snores and none of them purrs.

Yet, if you listen to the talk shows like Dr. Oz, you know you shouldn’t sleep with your pets, even that sweet, purrfect kitty. They say when she moves, she disturbs our sleep. They say that she even awakes us in the middle of the night and we don’t always know it. So where should kitty sleep, if she can’t sleep in our bed?

According to the website, petplace, kitty should sleep in her own kitty bed. The website has an article that talks about kitty’s beds. In fact, the article talks about how each kitty needs more than one bed. This does make sense if you really understand cats.

· A cat does not like to sleep in one place. · A cat does not like one bed for a very long · A cat is always looking for new beds · A cat will try a new bed out for a while, go to another bed for a few days and then head back to that first bed

The article talks about a variety of beds. Some of these beds are beds that even this writer’s finicky cat would enjoy, especially the thermo kitty sill heated window bed. Her kitty loves to sit in the window and watch the birds. The birds really excite her. Yet, in the window months her normal window seat does get cold. This seat would be the answer to that problem.

As for the normal cat beds, most kitty would enjoy them, too. A great idea to keep the cat’s interest in them, is to add a new blanket to the bed every so often. Another idea is to actually move the bed itself every so often. Plus, you should definitely have a couple of these beds, if your cat is an inside cat. Yes, your cat will become bored and will want to change the rooms in which she sleeps.

As for giving up the habit of sleeping with her cat, this is one that this writer will have to consider. She knows it may not be great for her sleep. But she still loves curling up with the sweet, purring cat. Plus, her husband understands.
