On Thursday, November 10th, The Visiting Nurse Service of New York (VNSNY) 2011 Benefit Dinner – “Investing in Children, Strengthening Families,” will be held at the Waldorf = Astoria Hotel in New York City.
That night we will present the Lillian D. Wald Award to VNSNY Board Member Robert M. Kaufman, Esq., a Partner at Proskauer Rose LLP, and to David B. Snow, Jr., Chairman & CEO of Medco Health Solutions, Inc. The award, named after the public health pioneer and founder of VNSNY, is presented each year in recognition of individuals who have made significant contributions to the health and welfare of others. This years event will be coordinated by NYC event designer & planner, Joanna Cummings of Elite Weddings & Events. Don’t miss it!
Proceeds support our Children and Family Services programs, which provide direct care and specialized support services to almost 10,000 children and their families, making it one of the largest programs of its kind in New York. Every donation provides home health care for babies who have complicated medical needs, as well as vital support for first-time, low-income mothers, fathers and their babies, new initiatives in pediatric diabetes and pediatric palliative care, and HIV/AIDS prevention and family support.
