Top 10 Worst Cartoon Characters of All-Time

Cartoons are one of the fondest memories most people have of their childhood. Growing up in the 1980s, Saturday morning was a life-altering occurrence that happened every seven days. As we grew up cartoons evolved but still became relevant. Most cartoon characters are a reflection of life, but some are just plain bad. Here are the 10 worst cartoon characters of all-time.

10) Peggy Hill. From King of the Hill, Peggy, Hank’s wife, is one of the most annoying cartoon characters ever to grace the small screen. She is so small town, stereotypical, and crazy that she kind of takes away from the show. It is offensive to hear her speak poorly. She uses Spanish words in the midst of English sentences. She teaches Spanish but only knows a word or two, how is that possible? Just don’t like her.

9) Jerry. As in Tom & Jerry. Jerry, the mouse, is a waste of celluloid. The way that he always teased, taunted, and abused poor Tom is despicable. Just once, actually just every time, I wanted Tom to catch him and make a sandwich out of him.

8) Pepe Le Pew. This creep was the one boring standout on an otherwise Hall of Fame worthy Looney Tunes line-up. He was always creeping around and sexually harassing that poor little cat. How did he get away with it? He was the Richard Dawson of the cartoon genre.

7) Lisa Simpson. Not as offensive as some make her out to be but still quite annoying. With her goodie-goodie attitude, her protest everything mentality, her constant rambling about…who cares. Just wish Bart would sell her to a Saudi Prince or something.

6) Daria. Beavis & Butt-Head should have tossed her into a shark tank. Would have spared the Earth having to hear this neo-hippy, hairy-armpitted freak.

5) Baby Smurf. Love The Smurfs. Love them. Once they brought in Baby Smurf, it was all over. What the heck were they thinking. Babies always ruin TV shows; cartoons are no different. With the exception of South Parks’s lovable Ike, babies are the worst thing on cartoons.

4) Snively Throckmorton. Yogi’s First Christmas is the best cartoon ever. Snively was utterly offensive. He kept trying to hurt poor Yogi! Do not hurt Yogi Bear. At the end, when Snively had his Grinch-esque transformation, it was not believable. Stupid Snively.

3) Every Cartoon Character on Kids Cartoons Today. They are so lame, bland, and vanilla that it’s an embarrassment to the history of television. With the possible exception of Spongebob and his troupe, all the others are awful. This does not apply to the wonderful characters from shows like South Park, Futurama, and Family Guy. Just kids cartoons.

2) Scrappy Doo. He is responsible for ruining just about the best cartoon ever. That is not an easy thing to Doo. Scooby Dumb was a great addition. Why couldn’t Scrappy Doo have been good? He was annoying and constantly in motion. He was the cartoon version of Twitter. All Scooby episodes that feature Scrappy should be taken out of circulation, locked in a 55-gallon drum, and buried in the Sahara Desert.

1) Cotton Hill. From King of the Hill, Cotton was the most offensive, least redeeming, most utterly disgusting character ever. He hated his son. He treated women as if they were his property. He had an annoying voice. Love the show King of the Hill, but I just wish that Cotton and Peggy would have been erased from history. How this show managed to be so otherwise great is a testament to the greatness that is Mike Judge.
