I am thinking of downsizing my current vehicle and get something a little more economical. I drive a 2009 Kia Sedona which I love and it meets all my current needs but it likes to use more gas then I would like it too so I am thinking of getting something smaller, newer and better on gas.
Buying a new vehicle is a big decision so you need to do some research before you buy. For instance do you want an automatic or a manual? Do you want a car, truck or van? Is good gas mileage important to you? How much do you want to spend on a new vehicle?
Ask yourself what you want and then research by looking on the internet or visiting an auto dealer near you. Dealers can answer your questions and give you ideas on what you might like. But don’t stop at visiting just one dealership. Sometimes you may get to a dealer and they will want to keep you there by making you wait as they run off pretending to do something for you. You don’t want to deal with a car lot that wants to waste your time. It is okay to walk out and go someplace else that is more no nonsense.
Ask plenty of questions. Buying a new vehicle is a major purchase and it deserves your attention. It may take you a few months to find what you want in a car. Since you are the only one who really knows what you want in a vehicle you will have to do the research and find exactly what you want.
Any dealer you go to will probably want you to take out a lease. A lease is a bad idea since the dealer makes more money then if you buy. If the deal sounds less expensive in the beginning be careful because when your lease it up and you turn the car back in they will probably tack on unexpected charges that will make the vehicle more expensive in the end.
For me I like Kia because it is a safe vehicle so chances are I will want to buy another Kia. I have done some searching and decided that I am interested in the Kia Soul. It is a small car that is square and has good gas mileage. It is also less expensive then other vehicles in its class since you can purchase one for around $14,000.
