Three Worst Eateries in New Hampshire

Uno’s of Tilton

Sure, the food is great at this particular eatery but in what century will you receive your order is the biggest question of the day. On several occasions I have eaten at this particular restaurant only to find that it takes over an hour to make a pizza and a salad. I used to work at a pizza restaurant so I can say, with utmost certainty, that a pizza should only take 15 minutes to cook. A salad, which is usually prepped ahead of time, should take only seconds to reach the table. Therefore, I am left to wonder what in blue blazes my waitress was doing in the additional 60 minutes that it took her to put the food on the table. Twice this happened to me at this particular location. I’ve never been back since. If you decide you still want to visit this particular location remember to order lunch at breakfast time and supper at lunch time. It’s the only way you are going to get your meals when you want them!

Rossie’s of New Hampton

This place is great if you love frozen food! My dad ordered a steak, medium rare, from this establishment, on one particular visit. The steak came out completely frozen solid in the center. Upset my dad asked if he could have the steak thawed and then cooked. The owner immediately came out to our table in a rage. Turns out that she was upset about my dad reporting the steak to the waitress. She all but blamed my dad for the frozen steak! Dad tried to explain that he wasn’t the cook and that all he wanted was a cooked steak, nothing more. She wouldn’t hear of it so we left, never to return.

Homestead of Bristol

This one really angered me the most out of all three bad places to eat. Thinking this was an upscale establishment I bought my mom and dad a gift certificate for Christmas. I figured this would give them a much deserved romantic dinner experience. However, the dinner was far from romantic. More like a nightmare. The waitress first told them that there was no seating available currently then immediately took the next patrons in line to a table. Mom and dad sat at the bar, pondering this, and waited for an hour before being given a table of their own. They looked about to find the restaurant was half empty. So why the wait for a table? Next they had to wait for a waitress to actually wait on them. This took another large chunk of time. When the salads finally did arrive they were brown in color and limp in texture. The meal itself was ok but not five star as expected. Furthermore, it was simply dumped on the table by the waitress who was never seen or heard from again until the bill was presented. Mom and dad later told me that this same thing had happened to them the last time they visited the Homestead.
