The Power of Beauty Pt. 18: Nail Care

Lets’ talk about the cuticle. Our cuticles start to peel when they are dry. Sometimes you might find that your cuticles appear to have cuts in them, and they could hurt.

One thing you can do is clip hanging/dry skin from your cuticles with a cuticle clipper.

Next, rub some oil on them and massage them in. rub them until your cuticles start to feel looser and easier to move. Sometimes our cuticles can feel tight, but rubbing them softens them.

There are some people that say you’re supposed to push your cuticles back. I don’t know how necessary that is because I personally don’t push mine back, and my nails are pretty healthy and grow quickly anyway. But if you want to push them back to be on the safe side, go for it.

After massaging your cuticles, I personally like to let the oil sit for a while, then take a dab of hand cream and rub the cream and oil together all over my hands. This is so useful for dryer weather in the summer or winter.
