The Pool in Winter

I drove past the pool today,
It looked lonely I’m sorry to say.
The cover was filled with leaves and water,
We should empty this – we oughta.

The chairs are gone and tables, too.
They disappear during winter I often rue.
But spring time comes and they’re back again,
The cleaning done by the workmen.
