The Advantages of Having an EBates Account

I’ve had an EBates account for years and had simply forgotten about it. I recently went back to my account and started browsing the stores available to realize that I’ve made many qualifying purchases that would have saved me money over time. Here are some of the features that Ebates offers that you should know about.

Up to 25% Cash Back with EBates

According to EBates website they offer up to 25% cashback. Realistically the stores you shop most won’t have this kind of return, but a very possible 1% – 5% cashback of any sale is better than nothing and the payments are added up then sent directly to your PayPal account.

Double Up Returns with EBates

EBates are great since you are earning 1% or more cashback, but what’s even better is making online purchases with a rewards credit card already earning 1% or more of the sale .

Skip the Shipping with EBates

Not always possible, but if making single purchases through bigger companies like Wal-Mart.com you don’t have to pay for shipping. Wal-Mart.com offers ship to store or ship to home for $1. Make the purchase online and pick it up when you stop for groceries later that week.

Find Multiple Sources with EBates

EBates website is easy to browse by product or store and has hundreds of affiliations. I often shop stores like Home Depot online and find products that aren’t offered locally, but exclusively online and exclusive sale items.

Shop Your Favorite Stores with EBates

As mentioned earlier, I’m disappointed in the amount of online purchases I made last year that could have been made through EBates. Big names like Lowe’s, Home Depot, Wal-Mart and Advance Auto Parts, Etc. offer up to 3% cash back for stuff you plan to buy. These are just a few stores I have marked as favorites under my free EBates account.

EBates doesn’t get much coverage, but they are a great source to make smart purchases for those of us who know what every little bit means. Together with my credit card rewards it’s nice to get a little extra cashback for what I buy.
