Soothe Aches and Pains with Homemade Bath Salts

After a long day of farmwork, my muscles can be aching. Lifting and hauling heavy things, running after my children, tending to each of my rabbits can leave me not just exhausted, but muscles screaming out for a little tender loving care. On the days that really hurt, I reach for a batch of my favorite bath salts that I create by the bucketful!

That long, hot soak soothes my muscles. I love this tried and true method of helping achy muscles. Adding special bath salts can help whisk away those muscles more completely leaving your skin silky smooth and refreshed.

Making the bath salts yourself will save a lot of money. You can spend 5, 10, 15 dollars or more at store or make your own personal blend for pennies on the dollar..

Soothe Aches & Pains Away Bath Salts1/2 cup baking soda 1/2 cup dry milk 1 cup Epsom salt 1 cup sea salt

Combine all ingredients together in a jar with a tight fitting lid. Use ½ Cup of mixture for each bath. Shake before each use.

If desired, you can customize your blend by adding two drops of any of the following essential oils or some dried herbs for every ½ cup of mixture. I studied herbology for 10 years.
