Sapphire Samurai Seeing the Out from the In

My humans have a big, metal box on wheels in the front yard. My female human goes into it just about every day. Sometimes, she’ll bring me with her, and that can be lots of fun.

Comfort: My humans can control the weather in this metal box. If it’s cold outside, it’s warm in it. The same is true if it’s hot outside. There are a lot of comfortable surfaces to rest on, too.

Seeing things: There are a lot of windows in this box, and my female human usually fixes it so I can look outside from many different areas. I can see almost the entire front yard and even the river of cars going up and down in front of it.

This is important, because there are many menaces that I have to protect my humans from. There are squirrels, and they like to eat the avocados on our tree. I don’t know why the squirrels…or even the humans…like them, but they do.

There are also dogs. Sometimes, the dogs are on a string, walking their humans, but some are not. These dogs sometimes like to mark my territory. That cannot be allowed. I’ll do all the marking here, thank you.

People Watching: There are a *lot* of people that walk by our metal box. Some of them are big, like my humans. Some of them are human kittens. The kittens are fun to watch, but the big humans make me nervous. My last humans weren’t very nice to me, so I’m cautious around strange ones.

Strange Events: We have seen many strange events from our box. Metalmonsters with red lights and loud noises go by frequently. Sometimes the metalmonsters crash into each other or hit something. My female human doesn’t like that very much. She gets all upset. Once a week, huge metalmonsters come and eat things from plastic bins in the front yard. Those are very scary.

I like our metal box. I don’t know why it’s one wheels, nor do I know why it goes away sometimes, usually with my humans. I think all kitties should have one, so if you don’t, tell your humans to get you one.

Human note: We have a travel trailer that I use as my writing office. He loves to be out here, though he is sometimes a royal pain. The worst part is when he wants to observe something while seated on my laptop…
