Review of V8 V-Fusion Energy

My wife has been working relatively long hours the past few days and, combined with the running around she has to do with the kids, she has been getting pretty exhausted. So, when we were at the store the other day and she wanted to buy some energy drinks, I let her.

We didn’t want to spend a fortune and ended up looking for something affordable. And, since they were considerably less than the better known energy drinks, we ended up buying a 6-pack of V8 V-Fusion Energy.

When we purchased these, I honestly had some doubts about the energy part. This is because I have seen my wife drink so-called energy drinks in the past and not show any signs of them doing anything for her. But, we have also been trying to eat/drink healthier and I did like the fact these drinks offered one serving of fruits and vegetables. I figured, if nothing else, she would gain a benefit from that.

As I expected, the drinks didn’t live up to the extra energy expectations. She is just as run down after drinking one of these as she was before drinking one and, when I tried one, I didn’t feel any more energy from it. However, as far as an actual beverage goes, I have to admit these are surprisingly good.

I ended up trying one earlier today because I figured it would be better for me than a can of Mountain Dew. I’m not much of a juice person and didn’t know if I would like it or if I would end up taking one drink and saving the rest of the can for my wife. But, even though it took me a moment to get used to the mix of fruit and vegetable flavors, I thought it tasted pretty decent. It was a bit like drinking iced tea (it turns out one of the ingredients is green tea) with a variety of fruit flavors mixed in with it. I found it was just as refreshing as my Mountain Dew only it didn’t have quite as much sugar in it and made me feel much less thirsty. Also, unlike some other juice drinks I’ve had in the past, it didn’t leave me feeling bloated and sick.

Like I said before, as energy drinks, these leave a lot to be desired. But, as a beverage, I could see myself buying more of these.
