Review: KA by Cirque Du Soleil

When I went to Las Vegas, I was truly hyped for KA. After reading many great reviews and even seeing a few scenes on America’s Got Talent last summer, I was excited to see this show. Unfortunately after seeing this show, I realized that there were a few moments in which I was amazed, and a lot of moments in which I was bored.

The best part of KA is the theater and stage. As you walk into the theater, you enter into a massive theater built like village. It honestly feels like you entered a new world filled with unique characters dispersed throughout the theater. The stage was also a technological marvel. This stage is able to move 360 degrees and is used in amazing ways throughout the show. I honestly felt that I was more amazed by the theater and stage as opposed to the show itself. In terms of the show acts, there were a few great ones, but many boring ones. There is one scene in the end that still gives me goosebumps as I think about right now. However there were still a few scenes that made me beg for me, in a bad way. I felt that something spectacular was missing in some acts, as you would expect in Cirque du Soleil shows. The story was also a little dry.

But with that being said, it all truly depends on your likes and interests. If you want to be immersed in an martial arts movie in a theater format, then you should definitely check this out. However if you crave a more artistic show, you might want to look for something else. Overall, this show in my opinion, is a hit or miss.
