Palm Springs Fashion Council Hosts YDA Fashion Show

Last week, fashion-lovers and supporters gathered for an amazing fashion show presented by the Young Designers Association and the Palm Springs Fashion Council. The event took place poolside on the evening of September 25th at the Blue Pear Restaurant/Pool House Hotel in Palm Springs.

The fashion show featured pieces that were designed and created by local young designers; Stephanie Green, Kristin Santiago and Amaris Hall. The styles covered everything from flirty and fun to casual, business and formal. As the models made their way around the pool plaza, the crowd would “oh and ah” and snap pictures.

About 60 people were in attendance at the private event including the Palm Springs High School Fashion Club, LA handbag designer Sheryl Harden and many friends, family, and supporters of the young designers and the fashion council. DJ Yanni was also in attendance, playing a hip selection of music for the crowd who ranged from the tiny fashionista to grandma-nista.

After the young designers presented their pieces, models strutted their stuff around the pool in fashions from local boutique owner and Palm Springs Fashion Council supporter, Sharon Jacobs from The Wardrobe boutique. A few beautiful gowns were also shown from the AuBrey Ward Couture line.

At the end of the show the talented young designers were recognized for their talents and were presented with awards from president of the Palm Springs Fashion Council and designer, AuBrey Ward Jr.
