CHAPTER 2

Q: What do we learn about Curly through direct presentation?
A: Curly is a thing young man with a brown face, with brown eyes and a head of a tightly curled hair. He wore a work glove on his left hand and a like the boss he wears high-heeled boots.

Q: What do we learn about Curly through indirect presentation?
A: Curly is aggressive, arrogant, a bully and he hates big guys.

Q: Write some information about the pups in the story.
A: Lulu is the mother of nine pups. Four of them were drowned by Slim because lulu cannot feed that many. Lennie was very interested to have one of this pup.

Q: Foreshadowing.
A: “He don’t have to take after Lennie. Lennie didn’t do anything to him, what’s he got against?” The swamper considered…”Well…tell you what? Curly like a lot of a little guys. He hates big guys. He’s alla time picking scraps with big guys….” In my opinion, this details gives us an idea that Lennie will have a problem or trouble with Curly.
