New Year Travel with the Family

When Christmas finally comes, the faces of your children light up as they look under the tree to see what Santa brought. You open the presents and have an enormous Christmas feast. It is the most wonderful day of the year. However, when Christmas is over, your family feels depressed and sad that this time of the year has ended. Therefore, in order to avoid the post Christmas slump, you decide to take the family away on a holiday. There are many fun places that you can take the family after the holidays.

1. The Isle of Wight:
Located on the English Channel, this island is a magical place to take a holiday. Your kids will love The Steam Railway where you can learn about the fascinating history of the island. If you like adventure, you can visit The Butterfly Paragliding School and experience the thrill of flying. You can also visit beautiful gardens, isolated coves, interesting museums and much more. There are quaint cottages on the island that offer excellent accommodations.

2. Norfolk Coast:
This gorgeous area in the UK will give your family a peaceful and relaxing holiday. The beaches are stunning, and you can participate in windsurfing, kiting or sailing. You can rent a boat and visit Morston or Blakeney where you can view the seals. While at Norfolk Coast, your family can also enjoy hiking, biking and shopping. It will be an enjoyable post Christmas holiday that your family will always remember.

3. London:
The capital of England is always a good choice for a family holiday. You can visit Big Ben, The Tower of London, St. Paul’s Cathedral, The British Museum and Trafalgar Square. You will want to take the kids to see Buckingham Palace, where they can witness the Changing of the Guard.

4. Stonehenge:
Visiting Stonehenge will be the trip of a lifetime, and it will make your family forget about Christmas. It is located in Wiltshire, and is one of the most famous ancient sites in the world. Tours of this historic monument are available, and your children will get a fascinating history lesson.

5. York:
This historic city is an intriguing place to visit. You can see York Minister, which is a world-famous building, or you can enjoy Jorvik Viking Centre, where you can travel back in time to when the Vikings controlled the city. There is also a captivating museum in York.
