NBA: Where “Things Will” Happen

It is now time to talk basketball. After all that bologna (NBA hold-out= Bologna) is now over and done with, it is time for me to start talking trades, free agents, upcoming battles, and predictions throughout the season. From the beginning of last season, the NBA really took a turn to a better representation of what to expect years to come. There are five things, in my mind, that will keep fans entertained for the rest of this decade in the NBA:

5. Lebron “King” James, and the Miami Heat.
Oh yeah, don’t forget about Dwayne Wade. Please do not forget about Dwayne Wade. How many titles will D-Wade and James pull out of the next six to eight years? That is the question everyone is looking forward to them answering. This upcoming year should be their first. Seeing how other teams will respond will respond will be interesting. We will see… we will see…

4. Dwight Howard.
Will he land somewhere giving him a chance for a title? Not Orlando, that is for sure. I would like to see him in New Jersey, battling the Knicks. Kind of like the Clippers up and coming, trying to take over L.A., with the addition of Chris Paul. I like to see the stars going somewhere that is nowhere, or nothing. Starting from the ground up and earn those teams their first titles in many years. (Please, somebody! Come to Phoenix, (Bosh?))

3. Up and Coming Rooks
Years to come, there are many great college players coming out to join the NBA. It is always very exciting to see where they will land, and which teams will blow a season to select one of these guys as a first pick.

2. Match-ups!
Match-ups every week will be consistently great. I can’t remember having so many great teams playing each other, keeping me entertained. Especially, this short season, a season that will have more games crammed into smaller weeks.

1. I probably should have put Lebron at number 1, but I am trying to think outside of the box this time.

My number one has to go to, not just the great matchups during the regular season, but the matchups in the playoffs. This time, seven game series are actually needed in the first round. The first round match-ups that can consist of- #1 seeded Mavericks vs. #8 Memphis or #8 Portland. Lots of great talent spread all over the place.

Well, there you have it, my first article on the NBA. With many more to come, I hope to see my views sore to the top, where I hold my ball in my hand. My basket”ball” of course, rose to the rim as I dunk it on your face!
